General guidelines

• Eligibility & originality: Abstracts should report original work — research studies, programme evaluations, case reports, or systematic/scoping reviews of clear relevance to health promotion in Nepal. Previously published work is not eligible.
• Presenting author: Whoever submits online is treated as the presenting author if the abstract is accepted, so please submit under your own name.
• Ethical compliance: Studies involving human participants should include proof of ethical approval from your Institutional Review Committee (IRC) or the relevant ethical review body. Reviews and secondary-data studies that don't need approval should instead upload a short signed declaration.
• Structured format: Abstracts are submitted as Part 1 (Background & Objectives, max 75 words), Part 2 (Methods & Results, max 150 words) and Part 3 (Conclusion & Recommendations, max 75 words) — 300 words in total, no images or graphics, with abbreviations spelled out on first use.
• Screening: All submissions pass through an originality (plagiarism) check before being assigned for review.
• Consent to publish: Submitting an abstract is taken as consent for it to appear in the conference proceedings / abstract book. The organising committee may request the full paper, an extended abstract, or your presentation slides.
• After acceptance: Accepted authors are asked to submit a final research PPT, which is reviewed by the organising committee before being finalised for presentation.

Title & formatting rules

• Titles should be sentence case, not written in ALL CAPS (abbreviations/acronyms excepted), and will be proof-read before publication.
• Use standard English grammar with a space after full stops and commas.
• Report all measurements using the International System of Units (SI) where applicable.
• Spell out uncommon abbreviations in full the first time they're used.
• Use generic names for drugs, not brand names, unless there is a specific reason to do otherwise.
• Avoid embedding images, tables or figures in the abstract text itself.

Submission checklist

Before you submit, confirm:

• This work has not been previously published or presented elsewhere
• Word limits for Part 1, 2 and 3 have each been checked separately
• The presenting author's name and contact details are correct
• Co-authors have consented to being listed
• Ethical approval (or a signed declaration, if not applicable) is ready to upload
• You've chosen the thematic area that best fits your abstract
